WW1 trio and WW2 pair to P C Osbourne
Percy Osbourne farmed in Koffiefontein in the early 1900s. He was a member of Brands Free State Rifles and was involved in the suppression of the Rebellion and actions against the Germans in GSWA . For his services he was awarded a 14/15 Star and War and Victory ( bilingual) medals. During the 2nd WW, he joined the Native Military Corps, where his ability with native languages stood him in good stead. He never left the Union and was awarded a WW2 War and ASM. The group is accompanied by an original photo of him as a member of the Crusaders ( Port Elizabeth ) football team, the original box of issue of his 14/15 Star and a short biography and copy service papers.
